A fantastic place to stay with hosts to match

Dear Jan and Marlene thank you so much for making our recent stay with you so warm and friendly. Your beautiful house and gardens create a feeling of peace and tranquillity so much needed when one is on holiday. You and your staff work very hard to maintain very comfortable and immaculate accommodation and always take time in your busy day to help with any requests a guest may ask. It was so lovely to wake up to all the beautiful bird life in your garden and to visit the sheep and their new born lambs, the ponies,pigs and more on your smallholding. We enjoyed very much the evening with you, your family and friends watching South Africa v England rugby match even though you thrashed us!!!!!also for the lovely food. Thanks to Jan for giving us the bottles of wine which travelled back to England with us and also for giving James the rugby cap. So anyone who needs a place to stay do not look any further as nothing could match up to DeWildabeest and its fantastic hosts Jan, Marlene and of course their charming children. Many thanks again. We will see you on our next trip.

We had a wonderful stay at De Wildebeest as our holiday in S.A. was coming to an end. Your hospitality was incredible and we really felt like "one of the family". Should we ever return to S.A. you would certainly be top of the list and we would certainly recommend Dewildebeest to our friends should they be in your area.

We stayed at De Wildebeest for three days at the end of a tour of South Africa, choosing it from the website... what a fantastic choice. From the moment we stepped out of our car to have Jan put a cold beer in our hands we knew we were onto a winner. Jan and Marlene went out of their way to make us feel like family and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs ( and put up with hours of Rod Stewart music!!) We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks guys.

It was wonderful staying with Jan and Marlene, you have a lot of private space and the feeling you are family, they help you with everything, and had a lot of laughs in the best bar of S.A., I liked the breakfast but…………I liked the dinner even more. Thanks…………

Marlene and Jan hosted the BEST 50th birthday celebration! I was in RSA for work and vacation and they found out it was my birthday. Had a Braai, with balloons and cards and gifts along with my husband, fellow Americans and South African co-workers. They really made our group feel welcome during our stay. Part of the stay was also to get to know more South Africans. Also, Marlene was very helpful in scheduling transportation not only from the airport but also to the tourist locations. She also booked dinners and tours. Above and beyond for a typical B&B. I've known the family for 4 years and love watching the kids grow! I'll be back!!
